Publication of Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) for Northern Ireland

Summary

Self-initiated action taken in relation to the statutory deadline for DAERA to publish an EIP by 25 July 2023, as required by the Environment Act 2021. We have received two complaints related to this matter. 

Outcomes and additional information

Following ongoing engagement with DAERA in respect of the missed deadline to publish an EIP for NI we decided to launch an investigation. and this intervention was closed.
