Terms of Reference for the Interim OEP
Terms of Reference to set up the Interim Office for Environmental Protection have been agreed between the Chair, Dame Glenys Stacey, and senior officials at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
The terms set out the how the Interim OEP has been established as a shadow body, the role it will play ahead of the OEP being legally established, and how it will work under the leadership of its Board.
These Terms of Reference will be in place until the OEP becomes a legal body after Royal Assent of the Environment Bill. It is our expectation that the Bill will reach Royal Assent by autumn 2021.
