Freedom of Information

How to make a Freedom of Information (FOI) or Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) request

The Interim OEP will be as open and transparent as reasonably possible. Where appropriate, we will make our information available to the public by publishing it on our website. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, people have the right to request certain information held by public bodies. We will respond to most requests for information within 20 working days.

Publication Scheme

Before the OEP gets its full powers and independence, we are still part of Defra and therefore we are using the Defra Publication Scheme.

This specifies the categories of information Defra and its agencies publish and explains how to access that information.
